Fab Five March 2016

Working in a digital agency in Lausanne we spend a lot of time online. When we browse the web or social media we come across hidden gems: useful resources, great tools, social media accounts to follow or just things that make us smile. We don’t want you to miss out and every month we share our web highlights with you. Here are our five favourite titbits for March.

To block or not to block?

Website owners and publishers react in different ways to the growing adoption of ad-blockers. Should you introduce a paywall or even deny access to your site if users have ad-blockers installed? Smashing magazine has put together the options available to websites and discusses their pros and cons. Very useful.

App of the month – Skype

We already told you that we love Skype around here. With the latest upgrade you can now make group video calls using your mobile. We think that’s pretty cool.

Happy Birthday Twitter

Twitter turned 10 this month. The micro-blogging service has undergone an impressive evolution over the last decade. And so has its logo. You might be surprised to hear that the iconic little bird hasn’t been there from the beginning. Take a look at how Twitter’s logo changed.

Increase your productivity

Get more done in less time? Sounds pretty good. Here are a few tips that help you become more productive.

No more sad desk lunches!

Your lunch looks like it could be featured on the sad desk lunch tumblr page? With the arrival of spring there are no more excuses to have lunch at your desk. Step outside and eat lunch in the sun. You will be more productive and more creative afterwards. You can of course still pack lunch especially when you look at these delicious ideas for healthy lunchboxes.

Anything to add to our list? As a digital agency specialising in website development in Lausanne and Geneva, Switzerland we are always interest in hearing your thoughts about the latest hype online.
